Rockmart Civic Arts Commission

The goal of the Rockmart Civic Arts Commission is to further opportunities in the appreciation, participation, presentation and performance of the various arts, to promote understanding and education in the arts, and to provide service and support to the community. The community often participates in projects sponsored by the Civic Arts Commission such as the 125th Anniversary Mural.

Funding

Funding for the Arts Center is provided in part by the City of Rockmart under the guidance of the Rockmart Civic Arts Commission, patrons, and corporate sponsors.

Programs

 Cultural Arts Center

This facility houses the RCAC office, the Visual Arts Gallery, The Rockmart Community Chorus Room, and various Art Classes.

Community Chorus

The Rockmart Community Chorus performs several times during the year. Members are volunteers within the community.

The Arts Center Theatre

Theatre performances include Community and Children's Theatre productions along with the Rockmart High School Thespians and their productions. Outside shows are also held here.  

Visual Arts Gallery    

The Arts Gallery, located in the Cultural Arts Center at the Rockmart Municipal Complex, features shows that are rotated on a regular basis to feature local artists and work from outside sources.

Classes and workshops are offered to the public on various Art topics.

Activities

Youth activities include Art and Theatre Camps.
