Rockmart Community Chorus

Rockmart Community Chorus performs several times during the year. Members are volunteers from within the community. This group has been a solid part of RCAC for nearly 20 years.

The group originally formed to participate in Georgia's celebration of the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympic Games awarded to Atlanta. Rockmart Community Chorus performed during the City of Rockmart's ceremonies surrounding the 1996 Olympic Torch Run that come through Rockmart. It was an exciting time for our little town.

After the 1996 Olympic Torch Run, the singers decided to continue to meet and perform, which they did over the years at the local churches.

When the current Rockmart Cultural Arts Center building was added to the City of Rockmart Government Complex, the Mayor and Council had the Rockmart Community Chorus in mind. The City of Rockmart built a room specifically for their group. The formation of RCC was part of the foundation of our current RCAC programming.
